"Pre-publication draft" means what?

We offer to you now a rather complete draft of the final version that we hope to publish within one year.

We realize that we are offering an unfinished book but made the decision to provide this information now to our readers, many of whom have been waiting for the release of this manual for a couple of years, so that you do not have to wait any longer. The final published version will have very little additional information, except for updates. The changes will primarily be in formatting and the addition of more photos.
